Eat Dust!! Suckers and IPPT Briefing
Travelling home from the briefing was fun. All the NS men walking to their cars (big deal) and there was one other guy riding a bike. It was some chopper kind of bike. It was loud. He was revving it as he started his bike. There was no race or anything really. When I reached the Canberra Rd stretch, there was a red light. I was there first, the a car, then the bike. 200 m ahead was another traffic light. My favourite. The one that I usually turn left and make a u-turn and turn left again to avoid waiting if the light goes red. I was hoping the light would turn red even before the others arrive, just to relive my happy moments. The light turned green and the chopper began to overtake me. Halfway towards the second traffic light, the second traffic light turned amber then red. The chopper was slowing down to stop. As usual, I made my magical manouvre. Eat Dust!! Suckers
The briefing earlier covered IPPT and and NS pay matters. Here are some facts to note down so that I can refer to this later:
- IPPT must be taken once a year
- Those studying like myself need not take my RT
- Window is closed and cannot be taken 2 days after birthday
- RT consists of 3 phase, 4wks 2 times weekly; 2wks 3 times and another 2 wks
- I can attempt 3 IPPT and get paid for the service. Injury sustained after the 3 tries are not the ARMY will not pay for any injuries
- Personnel can be called up to 3 times per year, not more than 40 days
- 13 yr cycle or until 40 yrs old then dumped to Mindef Reserve; ROD, run out date
Something like tat..
